On June 25, 2024, as China and Thailand were about to mark the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations, the "10th Global Economic Development Forum" jointly hosted by the Global Economic Development Cooperation Promotion Association, the Thailand-China Friendship Association, etc. was grandly held in Bangkok, Thailand.

Nearly 300 political and business elites, scholars and entrepreneurs from China, Thailand and ASEAN countries attended the event to jointly celebrate this grand occasion. The 150 Chinese entrepreneurs who participated in the meeting formed a large-scale delegation of China's private economy, which is rare since the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Thailand. The total output value of these enterprises exceeded 100 billion yuan.

Prince Subin Bhumibol, one of the two co-chairmen of the 10th Global Economic Development Forum, and H.E. Korn Dabbaransi, the former Deputy Prime Minister of Thailand and President of the Thailand-China Friendship Association, delivered speeches respectively. They emphasized the close ties between Thailand and China in the fields of economy, culture, science and technology, etc., and called for further deepening of cooperation to jointly promote regional development.

During the forum, four major projects were signed, with a total investment of approximately 500 million yuan. These projects involve the Thailand Global · Panama Pacific International Expo Park, an electric vehicle leasing platform, an Asian cultural characteristic electronic music festival, and the Global Chinese List Award Ceremony, among others.

From June 26th to 29th, the delegation visited many leading enterprises and government agencies in Thailand. On the morning of June 27th, 150 members of the Chinese enterprise delegation visited and exchanged ideas with the Assumption University of Thailand. They were warmly received by the leaders of the university. Somchai Wongsawat, the 26th Prime Minister of Thailand, personally attended the event and delivered an enthusiastic speech.

In the afternoon of the 26th, the delegation of Chinese enterprises was invited to the Thai-Chinese Chamber of Commerce and was warmly received by Chairman Lin Chuqin, Vice Chairman Jiang Yingchu and other leaders of the chamber. On the morning of the 28th, the delegation of Chinese enterprises made a special trip to visit the Pattaya City Government. Mayor Poramet Ngampichet warmly welcomed the delegation. He introduced that Pattaya attaches equal importance to natural scenery and cultural heritage, and has complete tourism facilities, making it an excellent choice for leisure vacations. He also shared Pattaya's strategy of economic diversification, especially the vision of attracting foreign investment to create prosperity together. He warmly welcomed Chinese entrepreneurs to visit and invest in Pattaya.

In addition, the delegation also visited the Singapore International School, the Rayong Industrial Park and other places, had in-depth exchanges with local institutions and enterprises, and explored future cooperation opportunities. The content and achievements of the forum and business inspection activities have laid a good foundation for future cooperation among enterprises.
