On the occasion of the 45th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Germany, invited by the government of the state of Rhineland-Palatinate in Germany and the German Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK), the GEDF (Global Economic Development Forum) led a group of outstanding Chinese entrepreneurs to work together with more than 300 political, business and academic figures from the German business community. They had in-depth discussions on the new paths for the future development and cooperation of Eurasian enterprises as well as the important relationship regarding innovative development under the background of the Belt and Road Initiative.
The main forum was jointly ribbon-cut by Ms. Antje Lezius, a member of the German Bundestag, Mr. Andy Becht, the State Secretary of the Rhineland-Palatinate government, Mr. Joe Weingarten, the Minister of the Ministry of Economics of Rhineland-Palatinate, Mr. Khamlien Pholsena, the Minister of the Ministry of Planning and Investment of Laos, Mr. Matthias Schneider, the Chief Executive of Birkenfeld, Mr. Gui Hanfeng, the Chairman of GEDF, and Mr. Andreas Scholz from the German Chamber of Industry and Commerce, who also delivered wonderful speeches.
During the project roadshow session, entrepreneurs from China, Germany and Europe respectively presented roadshows of projects in their respective fields. The Industry 4.0 roadshow by German entrepreneurs and the sharing of Chinese projects attracted many participating entrepreneurs to inquire and seek cooperation.
The conference achieved two global releases. Mr. Usama.AlAli, the Chairman of the ATMChain (Intelligent Media Chain) Global Foundation and a doctoral professor at Stanford University, expounded at the conference on how ATMChain (Intelligent Media Chain) can better play the role of an attention economy within the Belt and Road development plan and create a first-class global digital media and cultural ecosystem.
Mr. Cai Weide, an expert of the "1000 Talents Program" of China, an internationally renowned scholar in the field of software engineering, and a tenured professor of Arizona State University in the United States, advocated the establishment of a "the Belt and Road" digital silk road, a new Internet infrastructure different from the land or sea silk road, to support more secure and convenient cross-border payment and trade. At the welcome dinner, Chairman Gui Hanfeng awarded the plaque to Mr. Andreas Scholz, founder of OakGarden in Germany, as the President of GEDF Germany, marking the establishment of GEDF Council Germany. Nearly 300 Chinese, German, and European companies participated in this conference, involving many projects. After the summit, Chinese entrepreneurs conducted an in-depth investigation of the "German Industry 4.0" project, gathered various sub industries for exchange and cooperation, experienced the precision production mode of German manufacturing up close, explored the rigorous production technology and design concepts of German enterprises, learned the "craftsman spirit" of German enterprises that never compromise and the constantly innovative technological elements, explored the century long development history of German enterprises, and learned the true meaning of German manufacturing leading the world.
