On March 7th, guided by the Department of Commerce of Sichuan Province, the 2025 "Rongpin Going Global" policy opportunity list release event was held at the Chengdu Private Economy Development Promotion Center. The event was hosted by the Chengdu Municipal Bureau of Commerce, Chengdu Municipal Bureau of Economy and Information Technology, Chengdu Municipal New Economy Commission, Chengdu Port and Logistics Office, Chengdu Agriculture and Rural Bureau, Chengdu Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism, Chengdu Municipal Bureau of Expo, Chengdu Municipal Taxation Bureau, and Chengdu Citizen Economy Development Promotion Center, and was supported by Chengdu Customs, State Administration of Foreign Exchange Sichuan Branch, China Export&Credit Insurance Corporation Sichuan Branch, and China Export Import Bank Sichuan Branch. Gui Hanfeng, Chairman of Silk Road Global (International) Exhibition Co., Ltd., the president unit of the Global Economic Development Cooperation Promotion Association and the Sichuan Provincial Foreign Economic Cooperation Promotion Association, was invited to attend the meeting.

The list of policy opportunities for "Rongpin Going Global" released this time is jointly implemented by the Municipal Bureau of Commerce, regulatory departments such as customs, foreign exchange, and taxation, as well as city level departments such as economy and information technology, agriculture and rural areas, cultural and tourism, exhibitions, and port logistics, and units such as credit insurance and import-export banks to integrate policy measures. At the meeting, not only was a policy list released, including supporting enterprises to expand their international markets, reducing costs and increasing efficiency, as well as supporting port channels and building a full ecological chain service system, but also through face-to-face communication between government and enterprises, answers and clarifies questions for enterprises from manufacturing, agriculture, cultural and creative industries, trade, cross-border e-commerce and other fields, accurately assisting enterprises in "going global" and accelerating the expansion of the "Rongpin going global" market space.

Among them, in terms of supporting enterprises to expand their international market policies and measures, relevant departments in Chengdu provide policy support in three aspects: enterprises participating in overseas exhibitions and conferences, participating in overseas economic and trade activities, and accelerating the improvement of the international marketing system. Provide assistance in supporting cost reduction and efficiency improvement measures for enterprises, supporting enterprises to purchase export credit insurance, supporting small and medium-sized enterprises in foreign trade to reduce trade financing costs, and supporting small and medium-sized enterprises in foreign trade to enhance their ability to manage exchange rate risks.

In terms of supporting and guaranteeing measures for port channels, the Chengdu Port Logistics Office will orderly expand international passenger routes such as Istanbul, Dubai, and Madrid, continue to expand new routes and stations for the China Europe full timetable trains, and optimize and strengthen characteristic express brands such as "Chengdu Europe Express", "Lancang Mekong Chengdu Europe", and "Vietnam Guangxi Chengdu Europe". The Chengdu Municipal Bureau of Commerce will also create a full ecological chain service system, establish more than 23 localized service teams, and help "Rongpin Going Global" enterprises improve their foreign trade practical capabilities and widely link industry resources.

During the on-site face-to-face Q&A session, representatives from Zhenai Giant Panda Culture Communication Co., Ltd., Zongheng Automation Technology Co., Ltd., Chengdu New Flying Technology Group Co., Ltd., and others provided on-site questions on how to better utilize exhibition policies to promote Chengdu's culture going global, how to improve the political communication mechanism to coordinate faster product clearance, how to efficiently solve cross-border copyright issues in digital content going global, and how to provide rights protection services for small and micro enterprises. Officials from Chengdu Municipal Bureau of Commerce, Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism, Chengdu Customs, and relevant departments patiently answered and provided advice on enterprise questions.

Finally, Gong Guanghui, Deputy Director of Chengdu Municipal Bureau of Commerce, summarized the meeting from various aspects such as market information acquisition, establishment of Rongpin's overseas platform, cost reduction and efficiency improvement measures and policy empowerment for enterprises, expansion of industry categories, and service specialist guidelines. The person in charge of the relevant department of the Chengdu Municipal Bureau of Commerce added, "This year, we will continue to assist Chengdu enterprises in deepening and expanding their international markets. On the one hand, Chengdu will focus on 14 major categories such as communication equipment and Sichuan cuisine, strengthen the cultivation of 'Rongpin' enterprises, and promote the coordinated development of 'service+product' overseas. On the other hand, we will also carry out four-way expansion exchanges. The city and city levels will organize more than 350 exchange and promotion, supply and demand docking, and exhibition and conference activities throughout the year, striving to benefit 5000 enterprises and obtain order amounts of more than 30 billion yuan

It is reported that going abroad has been one of the economic buzzwords in Chengdu in recent years. The 2025 Chengdu Municipal Government Work Report mentioned that just last year, Chengdu launched the "Rongpin Goes to Sichuan" and "Rongpin Goes Overseas" market expansion actions, ranking first in the total import and export volume of foreign trade and the scale of foreign direct investment in central and western cities.
