On March 5, 2025, Gui Hanfeng, Chairman of the Global Economic Development Cooperation Promotion Association and Executive Chairman of the Sichuan Provincial Association for the Promotion of Foreign Economic Cooperation, visited the Sichuan Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) with the Secretariat and received warm reception from leaders and relevant departments. Both sides engaged in in-depth exchanges on topics such as the ten-year growth history of the Global Economic Development Forum (GEDF), the preparation for the 11th GEDF Austria Summit in 2025, and how to promote the overseas expansion of "Chuan Pin Chuan Enterprises". Yang Shibo and Wang Guangjun, second level inspectors of the Provincial Council for the Promotion of International Trade, Song Bo, Deputy Minister of Trade and Investment, Zhang Yang, Deputy Secretary General, and Chen Junren attended the exchange meeting.

Gui Hanfeng first reported to the leaders on the development process of the Global Economic Development Forum since its establishment in 2013. The forum adheres to the principle of "creating value together with a global perspective" and has been successfully held for ten sessions in countries such as China, Australia, Malaysia, Germany, Qatar, Russia, Laos, Cambodia, and Thailand, gradually becoming an international exchange and cooperation platform with Chinese characteristics and international influence. GEDF not only provides a broad stage for Chinese enterprises to "go global", but also promotes cultural exchanges and economic and trade exchanges between China and foreign countries, achieving interconnectivity, mutual learning, mutual benefit and win-win results.

Subsequently, Gui Hanfeng highlighted the preparations for the 11th Global Economic Development Forum Austria Summit, which will be held in Vienna, Austria from October 12th to 18th this year. He mentioned that the summit has received an official invitation from Austria, and hundreds of Chinese companies covering clean energy, intelligent manufacturing, culture and art will be organized to participate in the exhibition in Austria, aiming to further promote economic and trade cooperation and cultural exchanges between China, Sichuan Chongqing region, Austria and Europe. During the summit, a joint event with Xinhua News Agency will be held to showcase China's excellent brands and cultural products at the "Oriental Beauty Collection" outdoor market event at the Zhongowen Creative Market.

After listening to the report, Yang Shibo, inspector of the Provincial Council for the Promotion of International Trade, fully affirmed the achievements of the Global Economic Development Forum, congratulated it on obtaining the Panama International Exposition series IP, and provided guidance for the preparation work of the Austrian summit. He pointed out that in the current context of economic globalization, enterprises are "eliminated if they don't go abroad", and actively expanding overseas markets is the only way for Sichuan enterprises to achieve high-quality development. China's social stability, stable economic development, and continuous innovation have created an unprecedented level of influence in the world, showcasing a rich, comprehensive, and three-dimensional Sichuan on the world stage and telling the story of Sichuan well.

Both sides also discussed how to integrate resources, strengthen cooperation, and provide more policy support and service guarantees for enterprises. Yang Xun stated that the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade will fully leverage its advantages in international liaison, trade promotion, and commercial legal services to build a more convenient and efficient platform for enterprises to go global.
