On February 12, the Global Economic Development Cooperation Promotion Association and the Secretariat of the Sichuan Foreign Economic Cooperation Promotion Association visited the Chengdu East New District for an inspection and conducted in-depth exchanges with relevant leaders of the International Cooperation and Investment Promotion Bureau. Ren Jia, Deputy Director of the Chengdu East New District International Cooperation and Investment Promotion Bureau, Cheng Peixing, Director of the First Investment Promotion Division of the International Cooperation and Investment Promotion Bureau, Ye Xiaolin, Director of the Fourth Investment Promotion Division, and Zhong Lin, Deputy Director of the Fourth Investment Promotion Division, and other relevant leaders attended the event.

The Association visited the Future City Experience Center of the Eastern New District, Chengdu Future Medical City, Tianfu Jincheng Laboratory and other places for field inspections. During the inspection, they learned in detail about the planning and construction of the Eastern New District, the development layout of the Future Medical City, the scientific research progress of each laboratory, and the industrial planning of the Airport Economic Zone, and had a deeper understanding of the business environment and industrial core cluster elements of the Eastern New District.

After the inspection, the two sides held a discussion in the conference room on the first floor of the expert apartment. At the symposium, the two sides first introduced their basic situation. Afterwards, in-depth discussions were held on topics such as project cooperation and industrial development. Ren Jia, deputy director of the International Cooperation and Investment Promotion Bureau of Chengdu East New District, said that the East New District is in a stage of rapid development and looks forward to working with the Global Economic Development Cooperation Promotion Association and the Sichuan Foreign Economic Cooperation Promotion Association to achieve mutual benefit.

The delegation also arrived at the Tianfu Jiangxi Laboratory, visited the exhibition hall and learned about its development; and went to the Tianfu International Airport Comprehensive Bonded Zone to investigate the planning and construction of the Tianfu International Airport Economic Zone.

Afterwards, a discussion was held. Cheng Peixing, Director of the Investment Promotion Division of the National Cooperation Investment Promotion Bureau, warmly welcomed the arrival of the delegation. The two sides conducted in-depth communication and exchanges on project cooperation and project implementation. Gui Hanfeng, member of the Chengdu CPPCC, Executive President of the Global Economic Development Cooperation Promotion Association and the Sichuan Foreign Economic Cooperation Promotion Association, said that the Eastern New District has shown great development potential in the fields of airport economy, modern service industry, air-rail logistics, and future medical city. He hopes to take this inspection as an opportunity to further strengthen communication and cooperation with the Eastern New District and promote the implementation of more projects.

This inspection activity has built a good communication platform for both parties and enhanced mutual understanding and trust. Both parties expressed that they will take this exchange as a starting point to strengthen cooperation in the future, jointly promote the economic development of Chengdu Eastern New District, and contribute to the prosperity of the region.
