On the morning of February 21, 2025, Gui Hanfeng, a member of the Chengdu Municipal Political Consultative Conference, Chairman of the Global Economic Development and Cooperation Promotion Association, and Executive Chairman of the Sichuan Provincial Association for the Promotion of Foreign Economic Cooperation, visited the Chengdu Center for the Promotion of Opening up and Cooperation with the Secretariat and was warmly received by the Center's Director Yin and relevant personnel.

During the meeting, Chairman Gui Hanfeng first introduced the core work and achievements of the Global Economic Development Cooperation Promotion Association. He also mentioned that the 11th Global Economic Development Forum Austria Summit will be held in Vienna, Austria in May this year, and will organize hundreds of Chinese companies covering clean energy, intelligent manufacturing, culture and art to participate in the exhibition, helping "Rongpin Rongqi" to enter the international stage. In addition, the preparation progress for the second Panama Pacific International (International) Exposition (hereinafter referred to as the "Babo Conference") to be held in the United States in 2026 was introduced. The Promotion Association has fully obtained the trademark, intellectual property, and US government certification of Babo Club, and plans to promote the deep integration of Chinese brands with the world market through this century old international platform.

Chairman Gui Hanfeng stated that the purpose of this visit is to collaborate with the Chengdu Center for Promoting Openness and Cooperation, integrate policies, resources, and platform advantages, and provide comprehensive support for Chengdu enterprises to go global.

Yin, Director of the Chengdu Center for the Promotion of Opening up and Cooperation, highly praised the international cooperation projects promoted by the association. Director Yin stated that Chengdu is accelerating the construction of an international gateway hub city, and the city's Center for Promoting Opening up and Cooperation will actively support enterprises to participate in international exhibition activities. He proposed three support measures: firstly, it is suggested to include key projects such as the Global Economic Development Forum and the Babo Conference in the government's annual exhibition plan, and organize representatives from relevant departments to participate; The second is to jointly formulate a special policy for "Rongpin Going Global" and provide supporting support in terms of funding subsidies and other aspects; The third is to integrate the resources of domestic and foreign associations, build an international service network for government enterprise collaboration, and help Chengdu enterprises efficiently connect with the global market.

In the afternoon of that day, Chairman Gui Hanfeng and his delegation continued to visit the Chengdu International Chamber of Commerce and warmly received the Secretary of the Chamber's Party Committee. The two sides exchanged views on the details of the preparations for the 11th Global Economic Development Forum Austria Summit and the deepening of Chengdu Europe industrial cooperation, and reached multiple cooperation consensuses.

The Secretary of Chengdu International Chamber of Commerce highly affirmed the strategic significance of the Austrian summit and expressed his deep participation in the preparatory work. As an important carrier and lever for Chengdu Council for the Promotion of International Trade to carry out foreign economic and trade exchanges, Chengdu International Chamber of Commerce will fully leverage its international channel advantages and policy service functions. He proposed three directions for cooperation: firstly, to collaborate with institutions such as the Municipal Council for the Promotion of International Trade and the Federation of Industry and Commerce to organize high-quality enterprises from Chengdu to participate in exhibitions and conferences in the Olympics; Secondly, relying on the assistance of the Chamber of Commerce to promote and attract investment for the summit; The third is to combine the industrial characteristics of Chengdu and Austria, focus on new energy, biomedicine and other fields, plan special docking activities between Chengdu enterprises and Chengdu products, and promote the deepening and implementation of Chengdu Europe industrial cooperation.

In the future, both parties will establish a normalized cooperation mechanism to assist Chengdu enterprises in expanding into the European market.
