On May 22nd, Gui Hanfeng, a member of the Chengdu Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), Chairman of the Global Economic Development Cooperation Promotion Association, and Executive President of the Sichuan Provincial Association for Foreign Economic Cooperation, led a delegation from the secretariat to pay an invited visit to the Consulate General of Israel in Chengdu. They held in-depth exchanges with Consul General Mr. Gadi Harpaz and the heads of the diplomatic and commercial affairs departments. The two sides discussed Israel's advantageous industrial sectors, including food technology, medical technology, agricultural technology, artificial intelligence, and lifestyle consumption fields, with the aim of promoting deep cooperation between the two institutions and in industrial sectors.

During the talks, the two sides had a full exchange on Israel's advanced experience and technological advantages in the field of scientific and technological innovation, discussed the cooperation potential in such fields as food technology, medical technology, agricultural technology and artificial intelligence, as well as the market prospects of products in Israel's lifestyle consumption field. The two sides agreed that strengthening ties and collaboration between institutions could build more cooperation bridges for Chinese and Israeli enterprises, and promote technology transfer, industrial upgrading and market expansion. In view of the foundation of friendly and mutually beneficial cooperation, the two sides plan to bring "Israeli technology" to Southwest China by jointly holding industrial promotion conferences and introduce "Israeli lifestyle" to Southwest China through market-style activities in the next step. In addition, President Gui also warmly invited the Israeli side to participate in the "11th Global Economic Development Forum · Austria Summit" to be held in Austria this year.

Gui Hanfeng stated that he will actively promote engagement with relevant Israeli institutions, deepen cooperation in high-tech fields, and facilitate exchanges and development between the two sides in economic, cultural, and technological domains. The Consulate General of Israel in Chengdu warmly welcomed the visit and expressed its expectation to carry out practical cooperation with Chinese counterparts in more fields in the future.
