Export (Cross-border) Trade Exchange Meeting
On June 13, 2024, the General Office of the People's Government of Sichuan Province officially issued the "Implementation Opinions on Promoting the Stable Scale, Optimized Structure and High-quality Development of Foreign Trade". It introduced 18 measures focusing on five aspects, namely strengthening the support for foreign trade, optimizing the foreign trade structure, cultivating new drivers for foreign trade, expanding the development space of foreign trade, and improving the development environment of foreign trade. It was proposed that by 2027, the scale of Sichuan's foreign trade would reach a new level, with the total value of goods trade imports and exports reaching 1.2 trillion yuan, and the total value of service imports and exports exceeding 170 billion yuan, maintaining the first place in the central and western regions. Secondly, the "Government Work Report" in 2024 proposed to "promote the healthy development of new business forms such as cross-border e-commerce and optimize the layout of overseas warehouses." In order to accelerate the development of new business forms and models, the model of "cross-border e-commerce + industrial belt" will be developed.
